Editorial policy
How we decide what to publish, how we label it, and how we keep it current.
Last updated
Who is responsible
All content is the responsibility of the Opportunity Near Me Editorial Desk. We do not attribute articles to invented authors or claim credentials we do not hold. Where a named, qualified reviewer checks a page, their name and role will be shown on that page.
Source hierarchy
- Offer documents (DRHP, RHP, Prospectus) and the issuer’s or promoter’s official filings.
- NSE and BSE announcements, registrar notices and SEBI publications.
- Established news organisations reporting on those filings.
- SEBI-registered intermediaries’ published IPO pages, for schedule cross-checks only.
Social-media posts, forums and grey-market quotes are never used as sources for facts.
Verification labels
- Confirmed Checked by our editors in a primary official document.
- Reported Attributed to an official filing by established media or brokers; primary document not yet checked by our editors.
- Estimate Arithmetic or an analyst estimate based on reported figures.
- Hypothetical Illustrative scenario only. Not a forecast.
- Unverified Not announced, conflicting, or based on anonymous sources.
A fact is upgraded to “Confirmed” only after an editor reads it in the primary document and records where. When sources conflict, we show the conflict and label the item “Unverified”.
Review schedule
- During an IPO window: time-sensitive facts are re-checked at least daily, and immediately after any exchange announcement.
- After listing: core pages are reviewed after each quarterly result or material announcement.
- Evergreen guides: reviewed at least every six months, and whenever SEBI or tax rules change.
Every page shows when it was last reviewed. The site-wide fact check date is shown in the banner at the top of every page.
What we don’t do
- No buy/sell recommendations, price targets or promised returns.
- No fabricated testimonials, reviews or ratings.
- No clickbait headlines that claim more than the sources support.
- No copying of other publishers’ articles; we summarise and link.
Conflicts of interest
Editors must not hold, buy or sell Jio Platforms shares in the five trading days before or after publishing material content about it, and must disclose any holding on the page. The site has no commercial relationship with any company mentioned.
